Love in Andrew Marvell in To His Coy Mistress and John Donne's The Sunne Rising These two sonnets, To His Coy Mistress and The Sunne Rising are comparable sonnets, they are both mystical (magical methods more than physical) sonnets composed around Shakespeare's time. The primary subject of these sonnets is the equivalent; it is sentiment and the affection for a lady. However the two artists have altogether different conclusions on these two things. Inside the two sonnets are contentions, in To His Coy Mistress it is with the lady and in The Sunne Rising it is with the sun. The Sunne Rising is about a keeps an eye on contention with the sun over how significant it is contrasted with his lady. To his Coy Mistress is about a man attempting to tempt the lady.
